Huntington Middle School Bands

2011/2012

Wind Ensemble is a year-long course designed to build upon the learnings of children with at least two year's experience on a band instrument. Students will perform a wide variety of music at a number of public concerts.  Dependent upon students/teacher ratios, these performances will occur within both a traditional mass band ensemble as well as in the more challenging and rewarding structures afforded by small ensemble experiences.

September 30 - Smart Music begins 

October 21 - Band Night at SMHS 

October 22 - Hauntington Breakfast 

October 17, 20, 24, 26 & 27 - Homecoming Rehearsal

October 28 - SMHS Homecoming Parade

December 12 -After school rehearsal at SMHS

December 13 - Holiday Concert at SMHS

December 22 - School Assembly

January 10 - Musical Pit Selection

 January 24 to February 29 - Pit Rehearsals lunchtime 12:30 to 1 (Pit only)

February 4 - Celebrate the Arts at SMHS

February 16 - Band Picture Day

March 1 to 4 - Musical (Pit only)

April 20 & 21 - Heritage Music Festival

May 3 - Open House

May 10 - School Assembly
